about

Hi, my name is Darcie and as the title of the blog presumes, I am a harvester’s wife. I started this blog in the summer of 2012 as a way to document my first harvest and to share our experiences with friends and family. This summer will be the 34th year harvesting for my husband, Blake, and it will be my sixth. A lot has changed since I first started going on harvest. We had our first daughter, Briar in November 2012. Adeline was born in December of 2014. Our newest member, Callum just joined the crew in April 2016.

We live in South Dakota when we’re not on the road. During the wheat run, we go to Sentinel, OK; Manter, KS; Tribune, KS; Chappell, NE; Chadron, NE; and Circle, MT. A typical wheat run for these stops goes from the end of May to the end of August/early September.

Hope you enjoy following along!
